SAPPORO Walks

DESCRIPTION

If you only have a day outside Sapporo, the nostalgic port town Otaru and the pretty rural town Yoichi makes a perfect excursion. Both towns are en route to the world-class ski resort Niseko from Sapporo.​

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

• Otaru: This romantic port town has a number of historic buildings and stone warehouses. You can enjoy shopping on Sakaimachi-dori, stroll along the canal, tasting sake or beer.

• Yoichi: Just 20km west of Otaru, the engaging town of Yoichi was one of Hokkaido’s major herring fishing grounds. The main joy here is tasting malt whisky at the Nikka Distillery.

AVAILABLE ARRANGEMENTS

• I can customize an itinerary for you on the day or in advance: such as visit the museums, hidden historic buildings and glassblowing studios.

• On a clear day, fruit picking at Yoichi's orchard might be available from June to October. We will using rental bicycles (¥500 plus ¥1000 deposit) from Yoichi Station. 

• This tour ends wherever you request – back to Sapporo or continue to Niseko from Yoichi etc.
