DESCRIPTION

Asahikawa, Biei and Furano are Northern Hokkaido's most popular destination and makes an easily day trip from Sapporo. I can customize an itinerary for your best day.

SUGGESTED DESTINATIONS

• Asahikawa: Hokkaido’s second-largest city after Sapporo lies the Kamikawa Basin, Asahikawa is straddles the clear rivers and laid out in a grid pattern, with its varied attractions, craft shops, breweries, bustling izakaya and ramen shops. Asahiyama Zoo is also popular.Bike rentals are available.

• Biei: Hokkaido’s most famous countryside on the distinctive undulating hills, Biei is something like a France’s mini rural village. You can explore the scenic road network by bike. The Blue Pond and Shirogane Onsen can be reached by bus.

• Kamifurano: This agricultural town is a jumping-off point for Tokachidake Onsen. The town center makes for a good few hours of strolling.

• Nakafurano: It is a mecca for flower lovers. In July the scenic hillside gardens are covered with lavender. The big attraction here is Farm Tomita.

• Furano: The lively agricultural city of Furano is said to mark the geographical center of Hokkaido. Cycling or hiking is the main activity.

Sorry, this tour doesn't cover Asahidake Onsen and Sounkyo Onsen in Daisetsuzan National Park.
